The Land Train starts its journey
  • The Seaton Land Train, also known as ‘The Seaton Rocket' started running on 31st March 2007.
  • The Train has been named the Seaton Rocket and the carriages have been named Seaside Special and Lady Sunshine.
  • These names were chosen by local Children and their names appear alongside the names painted on the train and carriages.

The Route

  • Step aboard one of the two carriages, either Seaside Special or Lady Sunshine, for a journey that takes in some wonderful views as we travel through the western side of Seaton to the picturesque fishing village of Beer.
  • On the return journey from Beer, we pass by Seafield Gardens with its putting green and the Bowling Club, Jubilee Gardens with the Clock Tower and then enjoy a trip along Seaton Esplanade before the final stop terminating at Lyme Bay Holiday Village.
  • Passengers can catch or leave the Seaton Landtrain at any of the following stops and can stop off in Beer or Seaton before returning on a later train.

Outbound to Beer:

Dates & Times

  • During the Autumn and Winter, the Seaton Landtrain will run Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays
  • The Landtrain service will not be running Mondays and Fridays during the Winter months, but will resume a full 7 day service in the Spring
  • The first pick-up of the day will be from the Lyme Bay Holiday Village entrance at 9.15am and the Seaton Landtrain will run continuously through out the day until the last train stop at about 5.00pm.
  • The round tip takes approximately 1 hour 20 minutes on its journey to Beer and back to the Lyme Bay Holiday Village.
